Tristan Goldspur is the eldest son of Angus and Idun. He lives at Goldspur's Farm together with his parents, grandfather, sister, and two brothers.

The name Tristan is the Old French form of the Pictish name Drustan, which is a diminutive of the Ancient Celtic name Drust thought to be derived form the Celtic drest meaning "riot" or "tumult".
