The Red String Trail Ride Star Stable Trailers
The Red String Trail Ride is a special trail ride event in Firgrove where a red string is tied to a marked spot with string hangers at the end of the trail, to symbolize the bond between horses riders and friends. Previous to its merge with the Equestrian Festival, it originally occurred in May (later occurring in August) and lasted two weeks. As part of the Equestrian Festival, it now returns each spring. Players must collect a red string from the starting point at the camp and tie it on the strung rope at the end of the trail. Each time the player replays the trail ride, they may encounter new things or NPCs who may follow them along the trail if the player wishes to.
Location[]
It is close to The Silverglade Sandpit in Firgrove and the Firgrove Championship, after following the trail out of Firgrove Village. Once the player reaches a certain point in the trail, they can take three paths to the final destination.

History[]
This event was introduced in 2019 as a standalone event. It then returned in August 2020, then again in August 2021.
In 2022, it returned as part of the Equestrian Festival event, now rewarding increased Horse XP and Spring Tokens, along with a fast travel point to and from Moorland (the festival's main hub).
Random Events[]
As you travel up the mountain trail you may experience random events at various parts of the trail.
Stationary Events[]
Some events stay put on the trail, either acting as set pieces for photoshoots, or has an interesting animation or music.
Falling Tree You will hear a cracking sound and a pine tree will fall to block the trail slightly.
Fairy Circle A circle of mushrooms with fireflies/fairy lights bobbing around in it on the trail.
Lisa and Starshine on a Picnic Lisa and Starshine have spread out a picnic on the trail, and Lisa is playing her guitar.
Solaire the Sheep Standing majestically in a beam of sunlight, Solaire shows off her majestic floof.
Feral Wolf A feral wolf guards the trail, and if you get too close, it attacks!
Kora & Beeper If you talk to them, Kora & Beeper will ask you to respect the animals on the trail.
Rami on a Picnic You can join Rami for a picnic, though he's pretty quiet (no dialogue).
Alonso and his Horse Alonso will be at the top of the mountain, saying that his colleagues sent him to search for UFOs.
Falling Objects[]
Sometimes, with a crack of thunder and a flash of sparkles, an item falls from the sky for you to pick up. They are generally not useful.
Potato A seemingly normal potato that fell from the sky. You probably shouldn't eat it.
Abandoned Lasagna You don't want to know what could be in this.
Old pocket watch with circular markings It's definitely broken.
Missing Person Flyer "Have you seen this person? Contact Mica Stoneground if you have any information." (There is a picture on the flyer of a tiny goat person, wearing a green hat.)
Cleansweep Twelve The handle is polished enough that you can see your own reflection.
Mysterious Ring It's inscribed with druid runes inside the band and is quite cool to the touch.
Rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle Why would anyone ever find a use for a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle?
Passerby Events[]
When riding on the trail you may come across an NPC heading down the trail. They will generally have some dialogue as they pass you.
Zee Zee gives you the side eye as she heads down the mountain trail.
Anne, Concorde, & Summerflower Anne, mounted on Summerflower and with Concorde following, rides down the mountain trail.
Linda & Meteor Linda, mounted on Meteor, rides down the mountain trail.
Raptor & Shakira Raptor, accompanied by Shakira, strolls down the mountain trail.
Herd of Sheep A herd of Black, White, and Brown sheep meanders down the mountain trail.
Reckless Car A purple car careens recklessly down the trail, honking at you and hitting you if you get in the way.
Avalanche Preceded by the sound of a couple falling pebbles, then a rock slide will occur soon after, and hit you and your horse if you are in its path.
Ride-Along Events[]
Sometimes you find an NPC standing still on the trail, and if you click on them to talk to them, they will ask you if you'd like them to join you for the rest of your ride. You can accept or reject the offer. If you accept, they will follow you and offer up some dialogue.
Lisa & Starshine Lisa, mounted on Starshine, will be waiting on the trail and when you talk with them, you can invite them to follow you on your trail ride.
Linda & Meteor Linda, mounted on Meteor, will be waiting on the trail and when you talk with them, you can invite them to follow you on your trail ride.
Ydris Ydris, standing alone, will be waiting on the trail and when you talk with him, you can invite him to follow you on your trail ride.
Weather[]
The weather on your trail ride might change suddenly.
Rain Rainfall darkens your screen, similar to the rainy jumping race in Redwood Point.
Fog Fog obscures the trail, making it difficult to see far ahead.
