Create-a-riding-club

Star Riders that are level 5 and up have access to creating their own riding club. However, no requirements are needed when joining a club.

Creating a club[]

Creating a club costs 50 Star Coins. The club name is put together by two or three words.

A club can have only one club owner. The club owner can change members' roles, remove members, change information, change the rules, write the events in the calendar, and disband the club. They can also edit permissions for each club role.

Being in a club[]

To get into a club, the player has to either create one or wait until they are invited to one. Only the club owner can invite members to the club. A club can have a maximum of 50 members.

A club has its own clubhouse located in Silverglade Village. The club owner has a special chair that gives them special commands, while everyone else has different seats available to them depending on their role within the club.

Clubs also have a club riding hall, accessible through the same door. It is nearly exactly similar to the dressage arena in the Riding Arena, but it has prop setups that can be selected (which is not available in the public riding arena).

Club interface[]

A club interface has a page for members, information, the weekly calendar, mail, and rules. Only the club owner and members who have roles which have the respective permissions (given by the club owner) can change the rules, information, and calendar, remove members, or change their roles.

Members[]

The members tab lists all the members of the club by role, from club owner to novice.

Club information[]

The club information (under the Club Settings tab) displays the club name, the owner, and information the owner or roles given permission to do so has written about it.

Club Calendar[]

The club calendar (under the Club Settings tab) contains a weekly calendar from Monday to Sunday. The club owner or roles given permission to do so can write about events on this page, such as when meetings will happen.

Rules[]

The owner or roles given permission to do so may create rules for the club, for example, "do not be rude." The club owner writes them here so members know what to do and what not to do.

Change Permissions[]

The owner can change permissions for each role through the members tab, at the bottom of the page. The permissions that can be changed are:

  • Add members
  • Remove members
  • Edit club info
  • Edit club rules
  • Edit club calendar
  • Send club messages
  • Change the role of members

There is also an option to select all permissions for a given role. The owner has all of these permissions by default, which cannot be changed.

Warning: Only trusted club members should be given permissions! Make sure to be careful with potentially maliciously exploitable roles such as adding/removing members.

Club Mail[]

The club owner and other roles given permission to do so may send mail to club members through this menu. The sender can select options to send to either members of all roles or only selected roles.

Club Settings[]

The Club Settings (under the Club Settings tab) houses the option to disband the club (only for the club owner) or to leave the club (for other members). Disbanding it closes the club and automatically removes every player from it, opening the name up to other players to use.

Titles[]

All members in a club will have one of the following titles:

  • Club owner
  • Club leader
  • Riding instructor
  • Champion
  • Experienced rider
  • Trainee
  • Member
  • Stable Girl
  • Novice

The titles can be edited only by the club owner. Any member can receive any title, except for the title of club owner, which can only be possessed by the person who created the club.

Trivia[]

  • In late June of 2020, a glitch in the club name selection system allowed users to create clubs with only one word rather than two or three. The glitch was patched during a Wednesday update on July 8, 2020.
    • Users who exploited this glitch had their clubs forcefully disbanded and did not receive any refunds of in-game currency.
    • This is the first time in SSO's history where clubs were forcefully disbanded by the developers.
