Shay is Rowan's horse and is currently seen standing in the paddock of Redwood Stables facing a hay feeder. During the quest to unlock Wildwoods, Shay bolted off and the player had to help the rangers calm him down. Rowan remarked that he was still "young" and "flighty".

Shay is a Generation 3 dapple grey Irish Cob with a black mane and tail. When tacked, he wears a dark brown ranger saddle and a brown bosal rein.
