Scott Buttergood is the son of Valdemar Buttergood and is the brother of Junior Buttergood and Robert Buttergood. He rides an unnamed black splashed white American Quarter Horse as seen in the Starshine Ranch races. Scott stands at the unfinished bridge at The Great Thunder near Atlas.

He is responsible for the bridge construction over The Great Thunder, but never really manages to get the bridge to bear before it falls again. He is far from as mean as Junior, but not as humble as his younger brother, and is thus neutral about most of what is happening in his environment. Junior thinks that he is not very intelligent, and he firmly believes that there are both werewolves and vampires on Jorvik. Scott is very loyal to his father, tolerating the harm of others if it benefits Valdemar.

Appearance[]

Scott wears a black cowboy hat, a red flannel shirt, black jeans and black cowboy boots. He has a brown beard and olive-coloured eyes. His skin is very pale with dark shadows, mainly around his eyes and under his cheekbones.

Star Stable Online[]

In the quests with Gary Goldtooth, Scott had bought Cedar from Huck, explaining that his father wanted to study the magical properties of Jorvik Wild Horses and keep him locked up in the basement for the time being. Distracted by Josh's insults about his cowboy boots not being made of genuine Jorcanther leather, the player and Gary riding Ash free Cedar. Angered by this, he chased them to Gray World Gap, where he is stopped by a landslide.

Etymology[]

The name Scott is a Celtic name meaning 'prince of war' or 'supreme lord'.

Trivia[]

  • During the Winter Festivities of 2020, Scott recalls how the Christmas tradition of feasting led his father Valdemar to rarely leave his mansion. During one of the feasts, the Buttergoods had unknowingly invited their family rival Simone who drew out a cross bow and chased Valdermar through the mansion.
  • At one point in the quests, Josh called him a "bloodsucker".
  • Scott and his family are heavily implied to be vampires, however, this is not confirmed
