Rainbow Gold is an event item obtainable during the Rainbow Festival, and formerly the Fortuna Festival.

Appearance[]

Rainbow Gold appears in the player's inventory as a small round coin, with a rainbow gradient over it. It is a stackable object, meaning players can have more than one coin take up a single slot in their inventory.

Function[]

Rainbow Gold was previously obtained during Fortuna from mounds of dirt found around a rainbow, with varying amounts depending on the player's performance in the mini-game. It is now obtainable during the Rainbow Festival from Chaun the Leprechaun's quest given at the bottom of a rainbow, rewarding a random amount of pieces upon each completion. Once a player collects at least seven coins, they can trade them with Chaun for a reward - in Fortuna, there were special Fortuna-themed sets obtainable, and in the Rainbow Festival there is random items such as Archaeology junk, horse XP, café food items, horse food items, Jorvik Shillings or Rainbow Festival-themed sets.

Should a player want to sell their Rainbow Gold rather than trade it into Chaun, they can sell their gold for five Jorvik Shillings each.

Rainbow Gold obtained from Fortuna can still be used during the Rainbow Festival.
