"The Kiger Mustang wasn't officially discovered until 1977, when they were isolated in the mountains out west. In order to maintain the purity of the original Spanish Mustang discovered in the Kiger Mustang, it is allowed to roam wild in Oregon on two special separate areas maintained by the government. The Event Horse Spirit, the son of the original Spirit and Rain from Dreamwork's Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron who appears in Spirit Riding Free, is currently the only Kiger Mustang available to the player in SSO.
Trivia[]
- Kiger Mustangs are typically dun in color yet neither the Summer Rider Kiger Mustang or Spirit's SSO model have Dun Characteristics, lacking a dorsal stripe and leg barring.
- Spirit however has more of an excuse as he is a product of Spirit (Kiger Mustang) and Rain (American Paint Horse)[1]
