Hey StarFam! A very special horse has found its way to Jorvik!
Introducing the Percheron!
France’s beloved gentle giant, the Percheron, has a history as rich and storied as the lands from which it rose to fame! The Percheron pedigree can be traced back to the Middle Ages when mighty grey destrier war horses carried armored knights into battle. As mounted warfare faded into history, the Percheron found new purpose as a carriage and workhorse. For a time, the breed enjoyed global fame as the ideal draft horse, becoming one of the most imported and beloved horses in America.
Today Percherons are one of the most versatile draft horses in the world. You’ll find them driving wagons and sleighs, working in forestry, or even competing in show jumping. They are famously agreeable in temperament. The Percheron is especially loved by the Jorvik Rangers, who taught the breed its signature “moose walk”! The Percheron is a loyal companion who won’t let you down.

The Percheron!
★ Where can I get it?
You can find them at Marley's Farm. One Percheron variation will be available at Fort Pinta for a limited time before joining the others in Silverglade.
★ How much does it cost?
850 Star Coins.
★ What level do I have to be?
Everyone will be able to get the horse at Fort Pinta immediately! To get the other variations, you must have reached level 7.
★ What colors can I choose from?
Light gray, dapple gray, dark dapple gray, black, chestnut and bay.
★ Is there anything else I should know?
The Percheron has two mane styles available, a long mane and braided loops. If you ask the Percheron nicely, it will perform its signature “moose walk”! The Jorvik Rangers taught the Percheron this “moose walk” for traversing marshy terrain. To get going, make sure your Percheron is moving at a walk and then hold down SHIFT while asking it to move faster.
New baroque bridles!
We have new bridles that are perfect for your Percheron! These gorgeous, handcrafted bridles might look familiar, but now come in variations without the horn! Find them at the global store and the shop in Jarlaheim next to Linda’s house.
The baroque bridles are currently exclusive to the Gen 3 Finn Horse, Gotland Pony, Friesian, Arabian, and the Percheron. We hope to be able to offer these bridles for more Gen 3 horses in the future.
