Clarence Stillwater (Clarence Stillwell in the comics) - the owner of the record company Dark Chord Records in the Star Academy series.
Description[]
Born and raised in Jorvik, where he spends most of his time. He was said to have once been a pianist, but no one had ever heard him play. Ten years ago he tried to take under his wing the avant-garde band Velvet Sky, fronted by Maurice Bergen.
As an enterprising producer, Clarence employs only the best people in the industry and listens to no one. He has a nose for finding people who can be made into stars. Once he finds someone, he sets them up for success and doesn't let them go until they burn out completely, forgotten by all their fans. Clarence is known for drilling his artists, forcing them to work too hard into the night and on long world tours.
