Athena is a filly from the Warriors herd who can be found in Gallop Plains at Wildwoods. After the player completes her pot smashing race, she can be found at the Ancient Coliseum until the new day. She is very strong-willed and has dreams of venturing past the Gray World Gap and into the outside world.

When Athena first met the player, she mistook them for the "bearded-one" and apologised for it, reasoning that very few humans ventured in this part of Wildwoods. She shows a fascination for collecting human items as if they are souvenirs. Cut in mid-sentence, Gary Goldtooth (the bearded-one) arrives at Buck Burrow and is also fascinated to see another human in northern Wildwoods. Gary gifted Athena a fork - which she assumes is a hairbrush, and declared that she is ready to find a human rider and explore the outside world. Athena is insulted by Ash's remarks about the "Gray World" and Gary does not deny this. Athena agreed to Gary's idea of a challenge set up by Rocco, of a pot smashing race against the player to prove her strength for the outside world. Although Athena lost, she still maintains her determination to win.
Etymology[]
"Athena" is named after the Greek Goddess of War and City Protectress.
