Description[]
Gen 1[]
"The Arabian Thoroughbred is one of the most famous breeds in the world. They are lively, friendly, and very intelligent. The Arabian Thoroughbreds are descended from the horses used by the Bedouins that believed that their horses were a sacred gift from God. Arabian horses are muscular with small, strong hooves."
Gen 2[]
"The Arabian Thoroughbred is one of the most famous breeds in the world. They are lively, friendly, and very intelligent. The Arabian Thoroughbreds descend from the horses used by the Bedouin tribes who believed that their horses were a sacred gift from God. Arabian horses are muscular with small, strong hooves."
Gen 3[]
"From the glossy sheen of its coat to the iconic slope of its face, the sight of an Arabian horse is sure to amaze. They are one of the most renowned and striking horse breeds in the world, with a distinct history and origins.
As the breed is so ancient, the exact origins of the Arabian horse are shrouded in mystery. The earliest reports of the Arabian horse can be traced back to 2500BC, where pictures of the ancestors of this breed were painted onto rocks in the Arabian Peninsula.
The Bedouin people historically favored these horses, and that love is the main reason the genetic purity of the breed has been maintained for so long. In the Islamic world, the Arabian horse is revered throughout history, in legends, and sacred texts.
Bred for endurance in harsh desert climates, the Arabian is small, almost dainty, in structure with a distinctive head and high-set tail. Purebred Arabian horses have coats in black, grey, and roan, but never in colors that carry dilution genes, such as buckskin or palomino.
Modern-day Arabians can be found across the world and excel in a variety of disciplines, such as racing and show jumping. They are particularly good at competitive trail and endurance riding due to their superior stamina.
It is said that the Arabian studbook on Jorvik dates back to Jarlaheim's founding, when Jon Jarl, impressed by the speed and grace of these 'desert dancers,' added them to the royal stable.
So if you're looking for a highly intelligent companion that never ceases to impress, you're sure to find a friend in the Arabian horse."

Trivia[]
- While the G1, G2, and G3 Arabs can all have different hairstyles, the tails of the G2 and G3 Arab remain unchanged regardless of mane style.
- Around the February 21, 2018, Wednesday update, the Brown Gen 1 Arabian went missing from the game due to a bug in Ferdinand's Horse Market's programing. As of September 12, 2018, Wednesday update, this has since been fixed. [29]
- Despite the G1 and G2 models being called Arabian Thoroughbreds, there are no Arabian registries that recognize the breed by this name.[30] There are two likely explanations:
- Arabian Thoroughbred is the long name for the breed known as the Anglo-Arabian (a cross between an English Thoroughbred and an Arabian), and the two breeds may have been confused with one another when being translated from Swedish to English. [31]
- Many languages do not differentiate the term "purebred" (full blood) and "thoroughbred" despite purebred meaning "any breed of horse whose dam and sire are the same breed, and thoroughbred meaning "a specific breed of horse generally used for racing." Thus many languages call the breed the Arabian Purebred. Sweden is one such language, and when translating the game from Swedish to English, the translation team may have mistakenly translated "Arabiskt Fullblod" (Arabian Purebred) to Arabian Thoroughbred. [32]
- The Brown Leopard Gen 1 Arabian is technically a fictional color in purebred Arabians. While there is some pictorial evidence that spotted colors may have existed in ancient times, they have long since been phased out and modern-day purebred Arabians do not carry any leopard complex (Appaloosa) or spotting modifier genes except for Sabino. [33]
- While technically a genetically possible outcome of a purebred Arabian, the Gen 2 Cherry Bay would most likely not be accepted into any registries. This is due to its "bald" face and socks "above the knee," which are undesirable traits as they can indicate a carrier of a pinto gene. [34]
- The Arabian is known for their ability to flag their tails due to a combination of a short dock (tail bone) and a high set of the dock itself. [36]
