Description

"When darkness falls and Halloween approaches, the veil between worlds grows thin, allowing spirits to travel to other planes. Alvirah comes from a dark place, yet she carries light. She is familiar with the ways of the witch, yet she is no witch’s familiar. She is independent, yet she longs for a human companion to share her journey. Will your eye be that which beholds her beauty? Alvirah’s alternative look is a Tennessee Walker, and she possesses the smooth gaits of the breed no matter how she presents."

Unique Features

Color Changing

The Alvirah is a magical horse with the special ability to change colors. When the player presses the "h" key or the magic horse icon on the horse's character sheet, the horse will change from its neutral colors to its natural (magic) colors and vice versa. The horse will not change colors during races or while the player is unmounted.

The Running Walk

Note: The horse must reach level 7 to perform this gait.

While most breeds in SSO only have five gaits, the Alvirah has six. This special gait is called the "Running Walk". In SSO no other horse breed is able to perform the Running Walk. To perform the Running Walk, the horse must be walking. The player then must hold down the 'Shift' key and then simultaneously hit either the up arrow or the 'W'. The Alvirah will then begin to perform a Running Walk. During the Running Walk, the horse cannot move to a faster gait or jump. To stop performing the Running Walk, simply slow your horse down like you would with any other.

Colors, Pricing, and Location

Mossy Dunskin to Dunskin

The Alvirah is sold for 950 SC. and can be purchased during Halloween in the Galloper's Keep. It comes in one variation.

Note: This horse is released for limited periods of time and is not always in the game.

• Natural color: Dark Dunskin body with green moss along the back and legs, branches with a moon embedded on the head and more branches along the tail, and green leafy mane and tail.
• Neutral color: Dunskin

• The Alvirah uses the G3 Tennessee Walking Horse model.
• The Alvirah was released as a pair with Audra.
• Alvirah appears to be based on the Witch Pi's home.
• Alvirah, like most other Magic horses, cannot have its hairstyle changed.
• While the Alvirah is described as female within the in-game description, players can still choose to label the horse as a gelding or stallion in the customization settings.
